The Puzzle Maker

Hi! I would like to share you about the puzzle that I made by using Discovery Education website. On the website I made two differences kind of puzzle. The first one is "Word Search Puzzle" and the second one is "Criss Cross Puzzle".

Word Search Puzzle is a puzzle box that is filled with alphabet. The topic of Word Search Puzzle is Animals. There are 10 names of the animal and these names are hidden among the alphabet. Then, the student are supposed to find all of them. See the image below!




On the Criss Cross Puzzle, the words being arranged horizontally or vertically on a grid of squares and blanks, one letter per square. The students are given clues in order to get that correct word and write those words on the blank squares. The topic of the puzzle is Professions & Jobs. See the image below!




Last but not least, I would like to say that this website is really useful and helpful. Besides it is easy to make, the process is not take too many time. So, I will definitely use this website to make some tasks on my future class..

Webquest

This time I would like to share to you about a webquest that I evaluated from the zunal webquest maker using webquest rubric. The webquest title is "Farm Animal" and this is an English language webquest for K-2 (kindergarden) learners.My evaluation referring to some categories such as overall aesthetic, introduction, task, process, resources and evaluation. Total point that I gave to this webquest is 43 of 50. There are several reason why I gave a good point on this webquest. 

Firstly, the webquest's overall visual appeal is good enough with some pictures on it and the navigation & flow of itself also seamless.There are no mechanical problem on it as well. Secondly, the introduction draw the lesson and the goal interestingly to the learner. By reading the introduction, the learners would have an enough idea what the lesson about. When we looking to the task, the task is doable and it's not limited in its significance to students' lives.

Then, the process of itself is really good. Each step is clearly stated so the learners would know exactly what to do next. The author use simple sentence and word so it seems easier for young learner to understand and complete the task. The resources that is given on the webquest is connected enough to the information that the students need. Besides it is meaningful, the sources that is given also fun for children. Lastly for the evaluation categories, the webquest is clearly stated the criteria for success in form of rubric. This rubric can help the student to know what the students must know and be able to accomplish he task.

My Wikispaces

This week I have a project to write on a Wikispaces page that already made by our teacher. On the Wikis we supposed to write an information about a book (can be our favorite book). 

I chose my favorite book, The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown. I give some information about that book and influence the other readers to read The Da Vinci Code too. Well, until I finished my project I do not have so many idea about Wikis, I mean whether I will use it on my future classroom or not because I feel like I do not pretty much understand about Wikis. I have a little bit confused when using wikis maybe because this is the first time fro me and I am not familiar with it. My big anxiety was when I wanted to add a video from youtube. Firstly, I tried to add the video by using hyperlink but it did not succeed. After that I tried to contact some friends to ask about it but unfortunately no one answered :( then I tried to find some tutorial video on the youtube and... voila! that is how I solved my problem!

Although I found it was hard at the beginning, but I am quite satisfied with my effort on this work. Here is my page on Wikis, click here

My First Podcast

On this podcast project I worked with my classmate named Emine Yıldırar.

We did not have any serious difficulty while making this podcast. It was exciting actually because we recorded our voice for several times to find which one was the best to be chosen. We really enjoyed it even sometimes we laughed at our own voice especially when we made mistakes. This project really help me to control my voice while speaking and help me also with my articulation. I will definitely use this program with my own student in the future so that my student can also take the advantages of it.
